Responsibilities:
Inspire and lead engineers
3+ years of engineering leadership experience with significant experience as a software engineer
A good technical sense with specific experience working on a product
A willingness to roll your sleeves up and code
Run team rituals such as stand-ups, planning, backlog grooming, etc
Work with design, product, and engineering leaders to organize reports, metrics, and KPI’s
Experience shipping products and solutions in a fast-paced and large scale environment
Bias towards action, absolute willingness to own the problem, and drive towards a speedy solution
Mentor and technically lead other developers on the team and act as a point of contact for cross-team initiatives. Help grow engineers on their career path
Excitement for recruiting and a thoughtful approach to engineering headcount planning
Requirements:
Technical background (BS in Computer Science or MS)
Fluent in Spanish and English
Experience working in tech startup(s), with competing resources and priorities, through planning, development, and launch
Self-starter with a high degree of self-direction and independent drive
High degree of focus in usability. Capable of conveying your ideas through detailed specs and/or wireframes
Excellent communicator. Capable of sharing technical specifications and ensuring that teams have all of the information they need to deliver
