Spotify is seeking motivated, music‑passionate, and ambitious students. This is not a typical internship: our paid program gives you an in‑depth look at life at Spotify and the technology powering a fast‑growing company. The summer program lasts roughly 10 weeks and begins in mid‑June.

If software engineering or data science excites you, you’ll fit right in. We’re looking for interns to contribute in areas such as backend, web/frontend, full stack, C++, data, mobile (iOS/Android), and data science. These positions span many teams, from core technical infrastructure to creating top‑tier user experiences.

As an engineering intern, you’ll help build the systems behind our app, scale distributed systems, and continuously enhance our engineering practices. Your work will directly influence how people experience audio around the world.

As a data science intern, you’ll work with large datasets to uncover insights and better understand music and listener behavior, supporting Spotify’s strategic decisions. You’ll explore user habits, important initiatives, markets, content, and new features to promote data‑driven decision‑making across the company. Your work will shape how people listen globally.

This application covers several roles. Please state your preferred area when applying.

What you’ll do

You’ll join the Stockholm intern group in one of two tracks:

Engineering:
• Work with cross‑functional teams to solve complex, exciting challenges in global audio streaming.
• Contribute to our internal developer community and influence our architecture.
• Participate in planning, designing, and developing high‑quality solutions with your team.
• Grow in an environment that encourages continuous learning and development.

Data Science:
• Analyze large datasets to produce meaningful insights and support strategic choices.
• Build dashboards, pipelines, and recurring reports that drive strategic and creative progress.
• Present your findings and recommendations to key partners.
• Work closely with analysts, product owners, marketers, designers, and others contributing to Spotify’s growth.
• Take an active role in Spotify’s data science community.

Who you are

You have skills in one of the following areas:

Engineering:
• You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or bootcamp certification in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• You have programming experience in languages like Java, Python, C++, TypeScript, Scala, Swift, or Kotlin.
• You’re curious about the domain and tech stack and comfortable collaborating in a distributed team.
• You understand the basics of distributed systems and enjoy pair programming and agile practices.
• You have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Data Science:
• You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or bootcamp certification in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or another quantitative field.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working with a wide range of partners.
• You’re passionate about using data to guide decisions.
• You have experience with analytical methods such as regression, significance testing, and statistical modeling.
• You’re familiar with A/B testing.
• You work confidently with Python, R, SQL, and visualization tools such as Data Studio or Tableau.

All candidates:
• You expect to graduate in 2026 or 2027.
• You already have valid authorization to work in the internship’s host country, covering June through August 2026.
• You can participate in the internship from June 15 to August 21, 2026.

Where you’ll work

• This position requires regular attendance at our Stockholm office.
• Our internship includes many in‑person events and networking opportunities. To get the most value from the program, interns are asked to come to the office three days a week.

Our paid internships run for around 10 weeks and start in mid‑June 2026. Applications close on February 5, 2026, at 6 p.m. CET.
