Spotify is seeking motivated students who love music and aim high. This isn’t a typical internship—our paid program offers the chance to learn deeply about life at Spotify and explore the technology behind a rapidly growing company. Our summer internships run for about 10 weeks, beginning in mid‑June.
If you’re excited about Software Engineering or Data Science, you’re in good company. We’re searching for interns to contribute in areas such as Backend, Web/Frontend, Full Stack, C++, Data, Mobile (iOS/Android), and Data Science. These opportunities cover many teams, from building strong technical foundations to creating exceptional user experiences.
As an Engineering Intern, you’ll help develop systems that support our app, work on scaling distributed systems, and continually refine our engineering methods. Most importantly, your contributions will shape how people experience audio around the world.
As a Data Science Intern, you’ll analyze vast amounts of data to uncover insights and gain a deep understanding of music and listener behavior, helping influence Spotify’s strategy and direction. You’ll explore user habits, key initiatives, markets, content, and new features—bringing data-driven insights to every decision we make. Your work will directly impact how the world listens.

What You’ll Do
You’ll join our Stockholm internship cohort in one of the following tracks:
Engineering:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve exciting, complex problems in delivering media worldwide.
• Contribute to the company-wide developer community and influence our architecture.
• Assist your team in planning, designing, and developing responsive solutions.
• Work in an environment that encourages your learning and development.
Data Science:
• Analyze large datasets to uncover practical insights that guide business decisions.
• Build dashboards, pipelines, and recurring reports that support creative and strategic growth.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to key partners.
• Work closely with analysts, product owners, marketers, designers, and others who are committed to Spotify’s success.
• Be part of Spotify’s data science community.
Who You Are
You bring skills aligned with one of the following areas:
Engineering:
• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or bootcamp certification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• You have coding experience, especially in Java, Python, C++, TypeScript, Scala, Swift, or Kotlin.
• You’re curious about the domain and tech stack and are comfortable collaborating in a distributed team.
• You have some knowledge of distributed systems and are enthusiastic about pair programming and agile methods.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Data Science:
• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or bootcamp certification in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a similar quantitative field.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy working with partners from various disciplines.
• You’re passionate about using data to inform decisions.
• You have experience with analytical techniques such as regression, significance testing, and statistical modeling.
• You’re familiar with A/B testing.
• You have experience with Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Data Studio or Tableau.
All Candidates:
• You expect to graduate in 2026 or 2027.
• You already have valid authorization to work in the country where the role is based, covering June through August 2026.
• You can participate in the internship from June 15 to August 21, 2026.
Where You’ll Be
• This role requires you to work from our Stockholm office.
• Our internship offers many in‑office events and networking opportunities. To fully engage in the program, we ask interns to come into the office three days a week.
