Description Exploration SW Eng. *The position requires traveling within the US once a month for several days (office time, conferences etc.) Mission: Build and collaborate with open-source contributors on Exploration Team projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions for the Starknet ecosystem.

  • Work closely with distributed team members to set clear roadmaps and milestones.

  • Work closely with Starknet community members to develop and integrate solutions.

  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Proficiency in Rust (or systems level language).

  • Working knowledge of core blockchain protocol design.

  • Ability to work with new programming languages, tools, and environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with blockchain protocols, particularly Ethereum and Starknet.

  • Experience with open-source development.

  • Experience with protocol development in production.

Relevant skills:

  • Proficiency in Rust or similar systems level language

  • Ethereum experience (contract or infra)

  • Understanding complex problems and designing solutions

  • Passion for open-source projects: The candidate should have an interest in contributing to open-source projects and should have some experience with open-source tools and technologies.

  • Collaboration skills: Since we work in collaboration with the community, the candidate should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with others in a team environment.

  • Openness to learning: The candidate should be willing to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.

  • Community engagement: The candidate should be comfortable engaging with the community, be it in online forums, meetups, or conferences.

  • Familiarity with project management: The candidate should have a basic understanding of project management principles, including agile methodologies, and be able to articulate a roadmap and set clear goals for the project.

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring: Since we onboard new developers, the candidate should have a willingness to teach and mentor others and have experience in doing so.

  • Passion for continuous improvement: The candidate should have a growth mindset, be willing to learn from mistakes and feedback, and continuously improve their skills and knowledge.
