AHEAD is searching for an AVD Expert to be a part of our Managed Services team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight. This position will report to and receive direction from the POD Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure Active Directory for Azure Virtual Desktop related systems
• Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions for AVD based production configuration
• Manage Azure Active Directory for Azure AVD and Azure AVD Clusters HA systems.
• Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions for Azure AVD-based production configuration.
• Manage and deploy updates via Azure update manager.
• Update the AVD image based on business requirements provided by the client, including monthly security patches, updates required to support a client enterprise release and version upgrades of software that has been operationalized.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VDI environments, including servers, storage, networking, and virtual machines.
• Manage and optimize the performance of the VDI infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability with terraform.
• Creating, updating, and responding to Monitors of the AVD environment.
• Help in management of the business applications that is installed on Azure VD Improve and adjust Azure VD
• Ensure business continuity and security across all systems supporting the company IT operations

Skills Required

• Minimum of 10+ years of related experience in AVD & VDI
• Decent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure ecosystem
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop Solution
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Virtual Desktop Operational Support.
• Have good knowledge of Azure AVD publishing applications web server load balancing Resource Manager License Management.
• Good hands-on experience in automating upgradation/migration, remediation, jobs, and report tasks by creating PowerShell CLI scripts and PowerShell and Batch scripts.
• Create all necessary documentation including system standards, run books, and more Research.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
