Bodyport is a virtual cardiac clinic aimed at reducing the burden of heart disease through personalized, evidence-based care. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of the backend and clinical facing systems that are the foundation of the software product. You’ll work closely with data, clinical, and customer success teams to ensure our products are effectively enabling the management of thousands of patients.

Some projects you’ll own

Develop advanced communication interfaces to support remote patient monitoring and health coaching.
Lead the redesign and implementation of the clinical portal to better serve care coaches, clinicians, and care teams – developing features and workflows that allow the efficient triage and follow up of thousands of patients
Designing and implementing robust analytics and patient tracking giving care teams deep insight into patient engagement and compliance

Your role and responsibilities

Create software features that are robust, reliable, and user-friendly
Design and implement scalable/high-performance code on both the frontend and backend
Drive the full software development lifecycle – problem definition, design, development, testing, demoing, and supporting production use of the features you own
Uphold our high standards for software quality through monitoring for performance, reliability, and security

Your skills and qualifications

4+ years of web development experience
An eye for clean code and streamlined processes
Comfort working with command line tools in a UNIX-like environment
An ability to evaluate programming paradigms, open source projects, and software licenses

Nice to haves

Experience working in HIPAA / FDA regulated environments
Experience administering and tuning databases
Experience with secure coding practices and penetration testing
Experience scaling software architectures using concurrent technologies
Familiarity with networking, caching, and containerization
