Piton Labs is looking to hire a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We want someone who can contribute at multiple stages of the development process, with a strong preference for candidates who are especially strong in backend engineering. You must have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Experience in startup environments—either through your own projects or by working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located in time zones between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though we may consider other locations case by case.

## Responsibilities and Technologies
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and established organizations to address their most difficult technical challenges. The role involves working in an environment with high uncertainty and complexity, helping customers build their products by focusing on what truly needs to be built. Rather than relying on a fixed set of tasks, you’ll help set priorities and concentrate on the most critical issues for our customers.

We don’t limit ourselves to a single technology stack, but most customer projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. For cloud infrastructure, we typically use AWS, though some customers use other cloud providers. You should have at least five years of experience building web applications in one or more major ecosystems, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. While familiarity with our preferred tooling is helpful, it’s not required. You must also consistently produce reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building challenging user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and creating a service-free API layer for a new web product
– Building and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
– Sharing new feature updates with customer stakeholders

## Remote Work Policy
