For Spitch, a well-funded start-up, which is introducing daily fantasy football on the German respectively European market, we are looking for a full-time permanent (or freelance) Elixir Software Engineer. After a very successful first year, where all expectations were overachieved, they want to incorporate the application, which was developed by an external partner. The company is using the „corona-brake“ to redevelop the application, splitting it into multiple microservices to have a more flexible system, making it ready to overtake the European market. At the moment they have a fully remote software engineering team consisting of five very experienced software engineers. They are working 100% remotely with a fully digitally aligned organization. Tasks

• Ongoing development of highly scalable microservices

• Optimization of existing operations

• Handling of cloud-based environments with PaaS und IaaS

• Ticket processing

Skills

• Several years of experience as a software engineer with agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)

• Solid knowledge of backend development with Elixir

• Experience with PaaS and IaaS like Google Cloud Platform

• Advanced knowledge with protocols like HTTP and in the design of REST APIs

• Good understanding of distributed systems

• Enthusiasm for test-driven development

• An open style of communication with good knowledge of English

• Residence in Germany

• German language skills are a plus
