Sematext is known for our deep Elasticsearch expertise. We’ve worked with Elasticsearch since version 0.x. Our team has written books about Elasticsearch, Solr, and Lucene and given numerous talks about them at conferences.

We are looking to find Elasticsearch engineers to join our distributed team of Elasticsearch consultants. Note that this is notthe sort of job where you work at the customer’s office and live out of the suitcase in a hotel room. 99.9% of our work with customers is done remotely. You will especially enjoy this position if you like being exposed to a wide variety of projects and Elasticsearch use-cases, if you like interacting with customers (email, chat, voice, or face to face), understanding their problems and requirements, designing and developing scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems for processing large volumes of data and queries.

This position is also great for those who may not feel like true Elasticsearch experts today, but would like to work along Sematext’s experts and become true experts by learning from them, whether through collaboration or by joining our Elasticsearch trainings.

Location

This position is open to candidates in Europe, Central and South America, Asia Pacific, and Australia, although truly exceptional individuals from other corners of the planet will be considered, too.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot solutions with Elasticsearch
  • Provide expert-level Elasticsearch consulting, development, and support services to a wide range of organizations
  • Observe and identify customer pain points, priorities, requirements, and success criteria
  • Resolve non-trivial search issues involving Elasticsearch, and related technologies

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Elasticsearch knowledge with desire to learn more
