Start an impact-first role with **SENse Learning**. Our **Education Mentor** positions involve providing one-to-one mentoring and learning support to young people who need it most. You’ll work across a range of specialisms as an **Education Assistant**, **SEN Teaching Assistant**, or **Learning Support Mentor**.

### Education Mentor Requirements
– **Experience:** At least 2 years’ experience supporting children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health)
– **Background:** Ideal for Support Workers, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), Teaching Assistants (TAs), Higher-Level TAs, Youth Workers, Personal Assistants (PAs), or anyone with a relevant care or education background
– **Approach:** Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic way, with creativity to tailor learning so the curriculum works for the individual student
– **Compliance:** Enhanced DBS (we can help if needed) and 2+ professional references
– **Location:** You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online roles
– **Safeguarding:** Knowledge of safeguarding and how to create a safe learning environment
### Education Mentor Role Responsibilities
– Build strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may have faced major challenges in previous education settings
– Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings using creative, interest-based activities
– Help develop life skills, confidence, and independence
– Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for a range of additional needs
– Understand emotional regulation and model strategies while encouraging the young person to use them
– Provide feedback and reflections to monitor progress and adjust support when needed
