At Forio, you will be leading a team of agile, front-end web developers building HTML5 data visualizations,games, and simulations for universities and corporate clients. You’ll join us in applying the right technology forvisually captivating, data-driven web applications. You’ll know that you are playing a leading role in the future ofweb simulation. We’re looking for a manager with a strong background in web front-end technologies, notablyJavascript. You will provide technical and team leadership to direct reports. You will report to the Founder andPresident.

In brief, we are looking for someone who can build and lead a team, can manage a consulting business, and cancontribute toward the technology vision for the Forio platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery for clients.

Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.

Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, effort estimates, and work plans.

Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

Package and support deployment of builds and releases.

Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current technologies.

Analyze and resolve technical and application problems, provide third-level support to business users.

Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationaleto share with team members and other affected parties.

Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.

Research and evaluate a variety of software products.
