Role Description The Director of Global Expansion will be responsible for establishing Remote Year operating entities in the countries in which we operate. This role will take the lead on structuring, negotiating and executing projects to get us up and running in our locations throughout the globe.
Responsibilities
Determine the most appropriate arrangement for Remote Year business operations in our selected countries
Model business cases as needed, providing expertise in their development, analysis and presentation to key stakeholders
Partner with internal groups including Finance, Payroll and People Operations to ensure smooth set up of these services
Manage all expansion projects from start to finish on time, on budget and to expectation
Experience and Requirements
5+ years in global operations preferred
International business experience required
MBA preferred
Experience managing complex projects
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
Ability to work with minimal guidance and be comfortable operating in ambiguity
Qualities
Ownership – we are looking for someone that will own this and crush it
Passion for travel – role will require presence on Remote Year programs
Organization skills – great time management skills, ability to multitask
Interpersonal skills – while the role is more strategic in nature, each member of our team touches Remotes (customers) in one way or another
