Director of Cloud Engineering

Northwestern Mutual has office locations in Milwaukee, WI and New York, NY (Learnvest). This role does not require you to live near our office locations and can be done remotely.

There is up to 30% travel requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure & Operation peers to set both short and long term cloud strategy.

• Create detailed solution design, build, and run of NM’s public and private cloud platforms.

• Meet SLA/OLA requirements of NM’s public and private cloud platforms.

• Run the Cloud Platform Service with effective agile delivery processes, service metrics, and financial, vendor, and life cycle management.

• Lead all professional levels to include coaching, development, performance, salary administration, and staffing decisions.

• Accountable for cloud platform relationship management with AWS Amazon, Azure/Microsoft, NM Private Cloud/Forysthe in partnership with Enterprise Vendor Management and other stakeholders to achieve company cloud strategies.
