Gone! is seeking a proven business development leader to help build relationships across various industries, negotiate and close distribution and marketing-related strategic partnerships, and become a key member of the team. The ideal candidate has an extensive network of contacts in companies with many customers, preferrably on the mobile, social or on-demand spaces.
We’re a fast-growing Techstars-backed startup that seeks to create partnerships with strategic allies.
You will need to deeply understand Gone!’s business in order to ideate, negotiate and deploy creative and impactful partnerships. The ideal candidate has experience building and managing a large pipeline of partner relationships and structuring deals that help grow both our partners’ business and our own.
The Director of Business Development will be based in either San Francisco or New York City and the role will require travel.
Responsibilities
-Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and D-Level executives from various industries including leading mobile, on-demand, and social networking companies.
-Establish partnerships that effectively drive significant contributions to Gone!’s revenue, user growth, long-term and short-term goals.
-Lead the partnership and deal process, managing each step from strategy, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, negotiation, and implementation
-Evaluate new initiatives, opportunities and deals for strategic alignment
REQUIREMENTS
-Successful track record as a business development leader at a leading mobile or web Venture-backed startup that has achieved significant growth through distribution partnerships.
-Strong network across startups and corporations in the desired space.
-2-5 years of relevant business development experience, with a growing track record of deal closing. -Outstanding communication skills. Ability to represent the company at the highest level.
-Gets things done. Organized but relentless.
Salary and compensation
$80,000 — $140,000/year
