The Role
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who will own how Nabu Casa shows up online—and make it matter. This is an hands-on, execution-driven role: you’ll plan and launch campaigns, grow our organic footprint, and ensure that every euro of paid spend reaches the right audience. You’ll work closely with our Product Marketing Manager, but you won’t be waiting for direction—you’ll set the priorities.
Our audience is highly technical and deeply connected to the community. They can clearly tell the difference between marketing that respects their intelligence and marketing that doesn’t. This role requires someone who understands that.
What You’ll Do
- Own the performance of Nabu Casa’s digital channels—website, email, SEO, paid, and social—with clear goals for reach, conversions, and subscriber growth
- Plan and execute digital campaigns end to end, from brief and creative through post-campaign analysis, aligned with product launches and business priorities
- Strengthen and improve our organic search presence through content strategy and on-site SEO, reducing dependence on paid traffic over time
- Manage email marketing for Nabu Casa Cloud subscribers, including lifecycle journeys, product release updates, and re-engagement, and track the metrics that matter
- Own paid digital spend and ROI across channels; manage, allocate, and optimize the budget with discipline
- Report digital performance weekly and clearly recommend what should be prioritized next
- Grow and engage Nabu Casa’s presence in the communities where our users are active—Home Assistant forums, Reddit, YouTube, and related open-source and smart home spaces
- Test new growth opportunities—affiliate, referral, and influencer—using structured experiments and documented results
What You Need
- Hands-on experience running digital channels—SEO, email, paid social/search, and content—with owned performance metrics, not just support responsibilities
- Strong analytics skills: ability to build dashboards, interpret funnel data, and separate signal from noise without relying on a separate data team
- Excellent digital copywriting: you can write for a technically skilled audience without talking down to them
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar)
- High independence: you know what to check next without being prompted
It Would Also Be Great If You Have
- Experience marketing a technical product, a developer-adjacent offering, or an open-source project
- Knowledge of the Home Assistant ecosystem or the smart home space
- Experience working in a small, remote-first team where you take full ownership of a function end to end
What We Offer
Nabu Casa is a fully remote organization that uses Remote to hire people worldwide. You will be a regular salaried employee in your country.
This is a full-time role for 40 hours per week. Since we’re fully remote, there is no fixed schedule. For collaboration, we aim to ensure at least three hours of overlap during the workday. You will report to our VP Commercial, based in Norway.

When making an initial offer to a new hire, Nabu Casa aims to provide a total compensation package that matches the 75th percentile for the role, seniority, and local market rates. In our primary operating countries, approximate yearly compensation is:
- Spain: 73,000 EUR
- Portugal: 64,700 EUR
- Italy: 67,100 EUR
- UK: 81,400 GBP
- Greece: 58,400 EUR
- Hungary: 25,700,000 HUF
- Poland: 370,000 PLN
- Romania: 444,000 RON
- Other countries: Compensation can be discussed during the first interview
These amounts may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and working hours.
