The Role

We have an ambitious roadmap to build an innovative enterprise data ecosystem that simplifies data integration, enables rapid discovery, and empowers engineers and data scientists to build game-changing data products. In this role, the DevSecOps Engineer will be embedded in our Data team and is responsible for the ecosystem supporting Circulo’s knowledge graph and supporting applications and technologies, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD pipeline) tools. As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Circulo’s applications build, deploy and run securely, efficiently, and reliably.

Who we are looking for

Minimum of 5+ years software development experience in application deployment using with CI\CD pipelines (GitHub, CircleCI, Terraform)
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant equivalent experience
Experience with deploying large projects using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Serverless Framework, or AWS CDK.
Solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience in using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira
Exposure to Cybersecurity framework like NIST, COBIT, ISA, and ISO
Demonstrable knowledge of multiple languages including, but not limited to TypeScript, Python, SQL, NodeJS
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and large scale production environments
Working knowledge of being a SRE with a keen interest in performance and scalability of large systems.
Able to configure or learn to fix network systems including DNS, DHCP, and Load Balancer technologies.
Working knowledge of APM vs Infrastructure monitoring tools
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships and influence with self-awareness, maturity, and integrity

What you will do

Work with cross-functional teams to transition applications, and services, into a DevSecOps model. Promote SRE and DevSecOps principles and culture.
Design and implement pipelines for Continuous Improvement and Continuous Delivery.
Support and develop solutions that enable our data and product teams to build and deploy code efficiently and reliably.
Leverage and recommend cloud technologies that work directly with engineering teams to architect and deploy applications using AWS services and methodologies.
Actively participate in architecture, design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.
Enable ease and speed of deployment with use of automation scripts, resulting in faster provisioning and appropriate reliability
Collaborate closely with product managers, solution architects, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality products in a timely manner
