We are seeking an exceptional DevOps engineer. This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer of TrackAbout.

You will be responsible for:

• Our infrastructure. We have providers who care for the ping, power, pipe, hardware, and patching/updating. You’ll manage the rest.

• Monitoring, alerting.

• Setting and implementing security policies.

• Automating everything via Chef (Ruby) and PowerShell, primarily.

• Managing key vendor relationships, including that of our hosting provider.

• You will also manage the relationship with our Pittsburgh managed service provider (MSP) who provides primary help desk services in our office. Our MSP deals with most office technology issues, but you may be called upon to help out occasionally.

• Troubleshooting of all types.

• Collaborating closely with our developers to make everything awesome.

This is an ‘on call’ position, meaning you could get involved in a firefighting situation in the wee hours. However, know that at TrackAbout, these incidents have been few and far between. This is a testament to the talent and dedication our entire team brings to making sure things run smoothly.
