The Cadasta Foundation is building a global platform to help marginalized communities and individuals document their rights and interests in land, property, and resources. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help scale and deploy our open source platform built on a variety of open source technologies, including Python, JavaScript, OpenDataKit and PostgreSQL.
As a member of a small team, the DevOps Engineer has the opportunity to influence and affect the development process beyond the code and systems. Not only will you be supporting the developers building the platform and deploying it to our users, you’ll be able to contribute to organizational direction and have first hand access & influence at all levels of the organization. Flexibility and a willingness to chip in, collaborate, and learn are key in this role, but that doesn’t mean long hours or work outside your scope. Cadasta prides itself on being a welcoming, people-first environment that’s dedicated to healthy work-life balance.
Our ideal candidate for the DevOps position is not necessarily someone that ticks a box on every technology; rather, we’d like to hire an experienced technologist with the ability to tackle a variety of technical tasks, and that enjoys learning new technologies in a collaborative environment. We encourage diverse applicants with non-traditional development career paths to apply – in other words, we’re looking for the right person, not the right combination of buzz words. Traditionally underrepresented populations in tech such as women, People of Color, People with Disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people, etc, we strongly encourage you to apply! We primarily work remotely, so almost anyone, anywhere in the world is eligible.
