The Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us. Working in an agile team, you will leverage your cloud and DevOps technical skills to manage systems, automate infrastructure, and translate our platform services roadmap into pipelines and code.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on production systems for our clients, delivering project work and resolving production issues.
In this role, you will
Be part of a small team, with a large amount of ownership and autonomy for managing things directly
Own a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution
Ship high quality, scalable, secure and robust solutions with a sense of urgency
Work hand-in-hand with development teams to ensure that solution design and solution implementation align and evolve together, using an agile mindset
Participate in collaborative team planning processes (estimating, prioritizing, etc.), and identify significant project milestones and risks
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to review software enhancements and provide design feedback
Create and maintain Continuous/Integration and Continuous/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployments
Create and maintain our applications in a Cloud Computing environment using AWS and Docker
What You Bring
5+ years of experience of working in a DevOps or SRE role
Solid foundations in computer science, and expert in design patterns, software architectures, and software system design
Must have experience with developing serverless architecture in AWS. GCP and Azure would be a plus
Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines to deliver applications on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or GCP; we use AWS
Advanced employment of Restful API design standards and best practicesApplication of API security standards, including OAuth2.0 / OIDC
Knowledge of best practices related to code branching, build, testing and release
Knowledge of shell scripting like bash, zsh etc
Experience with implementation of logging, monitoring and alerts on cloud infrastructure
Knowledge of one or more programming languages like Python, Javascript, Java, C# etc
Experience administering infrastructure with SOC2 compliance
