In our Data & Technology department we are responsible for the complete life cycle of our software products. We develop applications for our internal and external customers in the fields of market research and big data environment.
Our Application Management ensures the ongoing operation of GfK platforms within our Data & Technology department to implement our market research projects. There, a new big data team is developing in which we apply modern technologies to organize our big data business at best for the future. With help of our innovative solutions we process several terabytes of market research data every day. We only provide the best for costumers daily due to our agile working method and support of our highly qualified colleagues. To support this team we are looking for an experienced DevOps-Engineer (m/f), optionally at our locations in Nuremberg, Berlin or Hannover. After an extensive introduction phase you will be mainly in charge with the consulting and the operation of our big data processing infrastructure in diverse projects.
Specifically, you have the following responsibilities:
Install, expand and configure of the Hadoop-Eco-system
Ensuring the operation of the Big Data Hadoop-Platforms
Design, implementation as well as operation of Backup and recovery
Capacity management and performance analysis in close collaboration with colleagues of the development department
Design and implementation of automated processes as base for continuous delivery and automated tests
Maintenance work of operating documentation
Check and evaluation of future technology- trends for a possible implementation; Support for the integration of new technologies
