Antsquare needs an immediate DevOps/Back-end Engineer (San Francisco or LA or Vancouver), who is responsible for the production operation of Antsquare system, maintaining environments, troubleshooting production issues, and operational support for end users.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, test, and maintain production services of Antsquare by a set of Node. JS applications
- Optimizes and troubleshoots software and supporting services for speed and performance
- Builds and utilizes automation tools that will automate release management processes, and enable agility within IT, development and operation teams
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with docker, familiar with Heroku, AWS cloud services
- Works with the product owners, developers to design and implement proof of concept and full-scale transformations that enable automation and continuous integration/deployment to customer applications
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as a DevOps or software engineer for web based software products
- Strong understanding of Javascript, NodeJS, Bash, and SQL
- Expert in performance optimization, configuration, and monitoring of Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, and/or related database and persistence technologies
- Experience with version control, configuration management, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning (e.g. Git, Chef, Puppet, Maven, npm, Heroku, AWS).
- Understanding of networking, replication principles, and multi-datacenter operations
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- A strong focus on business outcomes, performance optimization, cost reduction, simplicity in design
- Work well with others and self starter.
