Who is a Dev Ops Engineer Hero?
Health Hero is looking for an experienced Dev Ops engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure and help build the tools to help our engineering team scale. We have a unique Ruby on Rails stack running on Linode. You’ll also have a very large amount of freedom to shape our toolchain as you see fit, based on the needs of our team.
The candidate we’re looking for thinks of themselves as an engineer first and a devops engineer second; experience implementing large production web applications, ideally in ruby, is a large plus.
What you’ll do:
Build and maintain deployment process, monitoring systems, and developer tools Guide the design of the next version of our tech stack Develop processes to ensure better site reliability
Requirements:
5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer on large production systems with significant traffic
Familiarity with configuration management, monitoring, caching, and networking tools.
Solid understanding of relational database fundamentals, and experience administering large postgres databases.
Experience with security policies and practices
Experience with developing ruby web applications
Has great all around health habits
