Story Maps are open-source apps that combine interactive maps with multimedia content and innovative user experiences to tell informative and inspiring geography-based stories.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and prototype responsive web applications and UI modules in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS

• Conceptualize and prototype innovative ways to combine maps, charts, timelines, and info-graphics into user-friendly storytelling applications

• Work closely with software developers, product engineers, UX/UI designers, and story tellers in a highly interactive and creative environment

• Solve technical challenges efficiently and effectively

• Identify and leverage the latest technology and methodology

• Document functionalities, processes, and best practices to support the growing community of story map authors
