In this role you will be responsible for modeling complex business problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques. In addition to advanced analytic skills, this role also requires working with development teams to integrate and prepare large, varied external datasets and sources and architecting specialized database and computing environments that aid in Muzooka’s strategies. You will leverage developer skills to enhance and expand data sets to be utilized for product and data teams.
You will work closely with team stakeholders to turn data into critical information and knowledge into powerful insights unique to the platform’s value offering. You are a creative thinker and use data mining in innovative ways to solve problems with the information that is available.
You will need a combination of business focus, strong analytical and problem solving skills and programming knowledge to be able to quickly cycle hypothesis through the discovery phase of the project. Excellent written and communications skills to report back the findings in a clear, structured manner are required.
You will work closely with the data team as well as designers and product managers to coordinate features on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Design specialized database for storage, retrieval and computation

Utilize various APIs to generate new data
Creating smart, periodic requests to external data sets to build out data pool

Implements enhancements and fixes to systems and data mechanisms as needed
Conducts data analysis and moderately complex algorithms

Works with Muzooka stakeholders to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome
Collaborate with team to select the relevant sources of information.

Document results and methodologies in a way that can be easily understood by business stakeholders
Presents and depicts the rationale of their findings in easy to understand terms for the business. Presents back results that contradict common belief, if needed.
