We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to serve as a key link between our clients and the Rackspace technical delivery team. The BA will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, validating, and documenting business requirements related to data ingestion, processing, storage, reporting, and analytics. This role requires a solid grasp of business analysis best practices, strong data knowledge, and the ability to quickly understand the details of airline operations (passenger and cargo) and the systems that support them.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Requirement Elicitation & Analysis:**
– Work closely with client stakeholders across different departments to understand business processes, challenges, and data needs.
– Run workshops, interviews, and reviews of existing documentation to capture detailed functional and non-functional requirements for the data platform.
– Analyze data from multiple source systems.
– Convert business goals into clear, actionable requirements documentation (e.g., user stories, use cases, business process models, and data mapping specifications).

**Data Focus:**
– Review source system data structures and how they relate to the business requirements.
– Define business rules for data transformation, data quality, and data validation.
– Produce detailed source-to-target data mapping specifications in collaboration with data architects and engineers.
– Define requirements for reporting, dashboards, and analytical use cases, including key metrics and KPIs.
– Support the creation of data governance policies and procedures from a business perspective.

**Stakeholder Management & Communication:**
– Act as the main connection between airline business users and the Rackspace technical team (Data Engineers and Data Architects).
– Clearly explain business requirements and context to the technical team, and communicate technical implications back to business stakeholders.
– Enable productive communication and collaboration across teams.

**Documentation & Support:**
– Create and maintain complete requirements documentation throughout the project.
– Build process flow diagrams (As-Is and To-Be) to show data flows.
– Help develop test cases and test scenarios.
– Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by clarifying requirements and confirming outcomes align with business expectations.
– Support project management tasks, including scope oversight and change request evaluation.

**Required Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
– 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including a strong history on data-focused initiatives (e.g., Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Migration, or Data Platform implementation).
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and data environments.
– Excellent requirement elicitation skills (interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis).
– Ability to produce core BA deliverables (BRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, data mappings).
– Strong communication skills (written and verbal), presentation abilities, and interpersonal effectiveness.
– Experience working directly with stakeholders at multiple levels.
– Ability to handle ambiguity and perform in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.
– Understanding of data modeling principles.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Experience in the Airline/Aviation industry, including knowledge of passenger and cargo operations, MRO, flight scheduling, and crew management.
– Experience analyzing data from, or integrating with, aviation systems such as AIMS, CargoSpot, TRAX, or similar tools.
– Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying.
– Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
– Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
– CBAP or a related Business Analysis certification.
