We are seeking a jr. data analyst / developer for our Los Angeles office to help in our day-to-day operations. The role is perfect for a recent graduate in computing (especially computer science) who is eager to get hands on with some awesome technologies and learn valuable new skills.
For the right candidate, there would be some flexibility in hours and the ability to telecommute.
The position responsibilities would include:
- Data analysis and research. Presentation of findings to both clients and upper management.
- Querying data using SQL, Tableau, advanced excel features as well as in-house tools
- Manipulating and modeling ofdata using a language such as Python, Perl or R
- Some programming in Python. If you have good skills in another language you should be able to learn on the job
- Support of internal staff and clients across a variety of projects
- Proofreading and document formatting
- Managing relationships with some data vendors / contractors
- Inspection and classification of movie/television content
- Miscellaneous tasks such as arranging schedules, meetings, and travel for key staff
