Job Description

Due to the increasing demand for our services in the US market, we are looking for a US native/near-native Freelance Copywriter who can work remotely writing insightful, creative, and captivating content for our small business clients. You will be communicating with our Content Manager who works from our office in Amsterdam. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of drafting engaging copy and writing high-quality content to achieve the clients’ marketing objectives. This job is suitable for individuals who have other work or life commitments and need to manage their own schedule, students and recent graduates, individuals looking to kickstart their career in creative writing or marketing!

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the production and content managers to develop engaging and compelling copy/content to achieve the clients’ goals. Craft stories and content that drive people to action; draft messaging and copy within the brand’s voice. Deliver quality content on time. Ensure the content meets the clients’ expectations and follows the best SEO practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles. A degree or diploma in language, journalism, communications, marketing, or any other related field. 1 – 3 years experience writing as a freelancer, working for an advertising or marketing agency, or studying in a related field, preferred but not mandatory. A keen enthusiasm for and basic understanding of web trends and consumer behavior. A strong understanding of SEO and SEM concepts. Native or near-native English speaker. It is vital to have outstanding attention to detail and perfect use of the English language (grammar and lexicon). Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands. Ability to write this job description in a more appealing way than we have.
