Job Description

Seeking key team member to manage the curration and distribution of content on blogs, email newsletters, and PR. We are a quickly-expanding Internet startup focused on connecting musicians with audiences for live shows in non-traditional venues like house shows and backyard parties. We’re working to expand and define today’s “house concert” trend. This is a part-time position for someone who wants to work with a true start-up, and contribute to and become part of the company’s success. It’s a job to attack, exceed expectations and enjoy, and in success will lead quickly into a full-time role.

Key Skills: Extraordinary creativity, including maniacal adherence to our company style guide. Ability to interpret our vision, brand messaging and product into engaging social content. Independent thinker who executes job assignments but requires minimal day-to-day supervision. Strong intra-company communications skills. Highly efficient and able to create best practices for new procedures. Experience with music industry is cool, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Email Campaigns Strategy and planning for email schedules. Scheduling recurring email campaigns. Professional writing for email campaigns. Experienced in MailChimp.

  2. Blog Posts and Content Creation Strategy and planning for blog and content posts. Writing and aggregating content into blog posts. Ability to create content that has a wide range of topics like guides, how-to’s, interviews with artists, infographics etc.

  3. Content distribution Distribution strategy and planning. Knows how to schedule and distribute content across platforms like social media, email campaigns, social bookmarking sites like Reddit etc.

  4. PR Skilled in researching top music blogs and news sites. Knows how to engage social influencers in the music space and build relationships. Ability to creatively approach these blogs and news sites to get coverage.
