Model N is hiring a Consultant, DMT (Data Management Team) for our Business Services team. The role involves supporting and enhancing data management processes for our life sciences customer base. We are looking for an experienced ETL Engineer who is passionate about data modelling and hands on with modern data engineering practices.
Job Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, document, and maintain ETL data pipelines to support business and technical requirements.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot ETL job failures, data quality issues and performance bottlenecks in existing data workflows.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration needs and create scalable, reliable solutions.
    • Conduct unit and integration testing of ETL jobs to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data transformations.
    • Work with diverse data sources, including REST APIs, and handle data formats such as JSON, CSV, and other delimited files.
    • Develop and orchestrate workflows for scheduling and monitoring data pipelines.
    • Develop Python scripts to enhance pipeline functionality and efficiency.
    • Should be flexible in timings, may require having some overlap hours with the US team.
Job Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development or support experience.
    • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (Scrum, Iterative) and improvement methodologies.
    • Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration concepts, and ETL best practices.
    • Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
    • Knowledge of different SQL/NoSQL data storage techniques and Big Data technologies.
    • Familiarity with version control systems and automation tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • [Preferred] Hands-on experience with Talend, Apache Airflow, Jenkins, and PostgreSQL.
    • [Preferred] Background in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry.
