Aquabyte is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to help create and deploy new algorithms for fish farms around the world. You will be responsible for developing software and machine learning models for both our camera systems and cloud platform.

Our mission is to transform the sustainability and efficiency of aquaculture. It’s ambitious work with meaningful impact. By improving the viability and effectiveness of fish farming, we aim to support healthy, low‑carbon protein production and address a major factor contributing to climate change. Aquaculture is the fastest-growing food production sector globally, and now is the moment to shape how technology can support responsible ocean farming for future generations.

We are a diverse, mission-driven team eager to collaborate with people who share our passion. If our vision resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.

Our current product helps salmon farmers better understand their fish populations and make environmentally responsible choices. Using custom underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning, we can measure fish weight, assess health, and generate real-time feeding recommendations. Our system spans on-site imaging hardware, cloud-based data processing pipelines, and a user-friendly web application—creating many opportunities for complex and exciting engineering challenges across the stack.

Above all, Aquabyte is driven by customer needs. Fish farmers guide our product development, and we prioritize delivering an exceptional user experience. We are committed to building a global, collaborative team.

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will develop software and machine learning models that enhance the intelligence and performance of our camera systems. You’ll join the AI team, which focuses on understanding the weight and health of individual fish and entire populations. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers who bring deep industry and academic expertise.
