Piton Labs is looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer to work across the entire stack, with a strong focus on back-end development. The ideal candidate will also have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior startup experience—either launching a company or working at an early-stage startup—is a plus. We strongly prefer applicants located in time zones between GMT‑8 (US Pacific) and GMT‑3, though we may consider others on a case-by-case basis.

## RESPONSIBILITIES AND TECHNOLOGIES

At Piton Labs, you’ll collaborate with startups and larger organizations to tackle some of their toughest technical challenges. You’ll work through the uncertainty and complexity of software development, helping clients not only build their products but also decide what to build. Rather than simply pulling tasks from a backlog, you’ll help define priorities and focus on the highest-impact solutions for our clients.

Although we’re technology-agnostic, most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We commonly use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients choose other providers. You should have at least five years of experience with a major web application stack, relational databases, and a modern front-end stack. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You should be confident delivering reliable, well-tested code consistently.

A typical week may include:

– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and implementing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Designing and deploying cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools
– Presenting new features to client stakeholders

## REMOTE WORK POLICY

– We are fully remote with no physical office.
– We prefer candidates in the US who are legally authorized to work there.
– Secondary preference for candidates in Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay.
– Expect 4–6 hours of overlap with East Coast time most days.
– Digital nomads are welcome—you can work from anywhere.
