Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working across the full stack, with an emphasis on back-end development. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior startup experience—either leading your own project or working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT-8 (U.S. West Coast) and GMT-3, though we may consider others case by case.

## RESPONSIBILITIES AND TECHNOLOGIES
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with startups and established organizations to solve some of their most challenging technical problems. You’ll handle the ambiguity and complexity of software development—helping clients not only build their products, but also determine what to build. Instead of just pulling tasks from a backlog, you’ll help set priorities and tackle the most important issues for our clients.

We’re technology-agnostic, though most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically use AWS for cloud infrastructure, but some clients use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience working with a full web application stack, relational databases, and a modern front-end stack. Experience with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must consistently deliver reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and implementing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Architecting and provisioning cloud infrastructure using IaC tools
– Presenting new features to client stakeholders

## REMOTE WORK POLICY
– The team is fully remote with no physical office.
– We prioritize candidates based in the United States who are legally eligible to work there.
– Secondary preference for candidates in Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay.
– Plan for 4–6 hours of overlap with the U.S. East Coast time zone on most days.
– Digital nomads are welcome; your work location is flexible.
