Design, develop, test and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization. Applies commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of simple to moderate scope. Exercises judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Identifies issues and provides resolution within the workgroup or to the customer. Normally receives detailed instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments. Codes business logic, screen interfaces, and database interfaces using database specific languages. May assist in performing the tests in the testing process for small application releases or complex software enhancements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities: • Performing complex Software Engineering tasks (dependent on project needs) such as requirements review, design documentation, development, testing and preparing for release. • Involvement in life cycle of various projects from requirements review to go live in hand off to QA. Designs, authors and reviews design documentation for projects. Analyzes solutions created by other engineers and provides feedback. • Reviews concept documents for feasibility of project as a whole. Participates in team design/code reviews. • Based on project needs, interfaces with other groups within IT to review impact to applications and customers. • Troubleshoots and corrects customer production issues. • Mentors other engineers and provides technical guidance relative to their projects. • Researches new technologies to improve business processes. Researches new tools to improve development procedures. • Reviews and approves software installation instructions. Other duties may be assigned. Desired Skills: • UNIX/Linux O/S • UNIX/Linux Scripting • C+/C# • Java Programming • Oracle (PL/SQL) • . NET/VS2012 • Knowledge of Enhanced E911 and/or telephony preferred
