The CTO will design and lead the development of EmADgine’s technology infrastructure, beginning with the creation of the beta web application that will be released to trial customers early next year. This role requires expertise in database architecture, back-end development, and front-end development, as well as strong product management skills. The CTO will be responsible for creating a robust infrastructure for the job submission, provider recommendation, and project management components of the software application. A successful CTO will be able to translate EmADgine’s vision into a functional product that can be deployed with usability and scalability in mind.

Required Skills: • Must be a full-stack developer; strong back-end, database development and architecture skills as well as front-end user interface and user experience expertise required • Team building and management skills, including ability to assign and supervise tasks and integrate, test and take ultimate responsibility for the performance of the application • Ability to recruit technical talent and motivate a team of developers, engineers, and data scientists

Required Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field • Proven innovator with "geek cred": successful exits as a founding member of a previous technology startup is a huge plus, but the ability to excel in a startup environment that involves rapid prototyping and agile development is a must • Experience creating relational databases (such as SQL, MySQL, or Postgres) from the ground up, including determining business requirements, creating logical models, and planning system architecture • 3+ years of experience with back-end development languages (such as Ruby or Python) and front-end languages (such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
