Reports to the CEO. This person will be responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development, according to its strategic direction and growth objectives.

Specific duties include leading the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing the technology team. These professionals frequently oversee research and development as well as special projects.

Establishing technical standards and ensuring adherence. This person will supervise software testing, and information systems security and maintenance. Also this person will lead their organizations in anticipating and reacting to major technology changes. This person may be required to develop technology contingency plans to keep projects on track.

Additional may include but not limited to supervising web application and software development as well as generating new products and facilitating their entry to market. They often collaborate with the executive team to assess and recommend technologies in support of company needs.

Will work via virtual office (at-home). While a 50-hour work week is standard, at certain times, this person may put in extra hours to meet deadlines.
