**What you’ll do**
– Serve as the company’s senior expert on atmospheric and climatological risks, including extreme weather, long-term climate trends, and environmental hazards.
– Design and lead Everbridge’s weather intelligence strategy by integrating predictive analytics, forecasting, and situational awareness into risk and resilience platforms.
– Define how weather and climate risk intelligence supports Everbridge’s critical event management framework, aligning natural hazard monitoring, threat intelligence, and business continuity services.
– Own the strategic roadmap for Everbridge’s weather-related offerings, working with Product and Engineering to define features, data pipelines, and API integrations.
– Establish structured feedback processes with enterprise customers to improve forecasting accuracy, alert thresholds, and risk communication.
– Collaborate with Global Insights, Product, Engineering, and Real-Time Monitoring teams to advance Everbridge’s meteorological products and services.
– Act as a public thought leader by speaking at webinars, joining industry panels, contributing to white papers, and representing Everbridge at key customer and public events.
– Deliver customized weather risk briefings for high-value customers, especially those in critical infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and logistics.
– Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to promote weather capabilities and shape customer-facing messaging.
– Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities for weather intelligence, including industry-specific use cases and strategic partnerships; track and report the commercial impact of weather-risk products.
– Build and maintain strong relationships across meteorology and climate science communities, including academia, private-sector forecasters, and national meteorological agencies.
– Advise corporate clients on resilience planning, seasonal risk outlooks, and operational readiness for severe weather and environmental hazards.
**What you’ll bring**
– An advanced degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
– At least 8 years of professional experience in meteorological forecasting, environmental risk management, or hazard intelligence, including 6 years with a master’s degree and 3 years with a PhD.
– Proven ability to translate complex meteorological information into actionable risk intelligence for executive audiences.
– Experience advising or working with critical infrastructure sectors and enterprise resilience teams.
– Strong communication and presentation skills, including a record of public speaking, media involvement, and/or academic publishing.
– Deep knowledge of weather modeling tools, GIS-based hazard mapping, and real-time alerting systems.
– An entrepreneurial mindset and strong awareness of the evolving weather-tech landscape.
