Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest change-makers address the root causes of the country’s biggest challenges—from education and the economy to broken communities and harmful division, along with many other urgent issues at https://standtogether.org/issues. We support our partners with resources such as funding, thought leadership, a peer network, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly accomplished corporate communications leader who has thrived in complex, fast-paced environments to join an ambitious, mission-driven team tackling difficult national challenges through bottom-up, entrepreneurial, and innovative solutions.

The Chief Communications Officer (CCO) will be instrumental in building and leading a high-impact communications function that advances Stand Together’s mission and key organizational priorities. This executive will oversee earned media, brand reputation, executive visibility, and strategic campaigns—ensuring communications reflect our values and generate measurable influence with key audiences.

Serving as a senior advisor to the CEO, COO, and CMO, the CCO will bring strategic clarity, discipline, and an understanding of culture to how we engage the public, media, and internal stakeholders. The role calls for a visionary leader with deep expertise in media, policy, and brand strategy—someone who can shape narratives in complex environments and build trust through transparency and precision. The ideal candidate is both a builder and a strategist: a proven communications leader at scale who can navigate high-stakes moments with confidence and craft messages that resonate across platforms, cultures, and communities. Experience in entertainment, policy, tech, or brand communications is highly valued, especially for candidates who have succeeded at the intersection of these areas in fast-moving, influential settings.
