In this role, you will lead and manage a team of technical leads and software engineers to meet our goals. More importantly, you will get to work on cutting edge technologies that support healthcare consumers when shopping for healthcare coverage for themselves and their loved ones, by offering locations on where to go for top quality and cost effective care, and communicate with their physicians and care providers to achieve their best health.
This position reports directly to our Technology Director (an incredible human being!) and allows you the flexibility to work from your home office!
As a Zipari Technical Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Manage a team of technical leads and software engineers, including task planning, code reviews, and architecture guidance.
Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Utilize engineering metrics to drive process improvement, training & development.
Hands-on core services development (approx. 50-60% of the time).Contribute, through active participation, in technology initiatives.
Work closely with product management and client delivery teams to ensure amazing products are built and client satisfaction is achieved.
Design and develop cloud-based software products conforming to industry best practices.
Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python, Java, and Node.
Support and maintain existing software products, applications, and interfaces.
Evaluate emerging technologies, open-source libraries, and provide recommendations.
Support testing process and troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in architectural design sessions and product discussions.
Work closely with front-end and UX developers to provide scalable solutions.
Work with Agile/SCRUM team setting, including cross-functional structures, and varying levels of management.
On-call rotation will be required to ensure service level agreements are being met.
You have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.5+ years leading a development team.
7+ years of software development experience.5+ years of Python and Java experience.5+ years of SaaS development experience.
Strong knowledge of frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring, Express.js, and Meteor.
Strong knowledge of building RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework, FastAPI, Spring, Quarkus, Jersey, Sails, and Meteor.
Strong understanding of ORM tools.
Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e. PostgresQL, MySQL, etc).Experience with GraphQL.
Experience with Kafka or other messaging solutions is a plus.
Experience and in-depth knowledge with Linux-based development.
Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with developing user authentication and authorization solutions and knowledge of security compliance is a plus.
Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment is a plusProficient on version control tools such as git, svn etc.
Ability to balance competing priorities in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Excellent detail-oriented, problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
