An excellent communicator and someone who can drive the business team towards value all the time is required. The role is very flexible. 100% remote. Time of day is flexible too, just as long as we communicate at a few key times. Working with experienced product people.

Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
- Design robust, scalable and secure features
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards)
- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Minimum four years proven working experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails
- Proven working experience in software development
- Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery
- Experience developing highly interactive applications
- Be able to design technical solutions to business problems
- A firm grasp of object oriented analysis and design
- Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
- Be comfortable working in a domain where problem and solution are not completely certain. Flexibility in thinking with the ability to embrace changes in the business is key.
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with an ability to influence and drive other team members where required.
- Interest and experience in algorithms, big data and machine learning are desirable but not essential
