About the role:
This position sits within Zepz’s Financial Operations (FinOps) team as a Reconciliation Analyst. You will support the review and coordination of monthly and year-end reconciliation processes. Your responsibilities include carrying out reconciliations, investigating items with both internal and external partners, and identifying opportunities to streamline or automate processes.

Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager – Cash in Transit, you will:
Complete daily and monthly cash-in-transit reconciliations in line with the established timetable, processes, and controls, using a reconciliation tool to match Zepz’s records with statements received from the acquirer and banks.
Identify and prepare summaries of outstanding items that need to be queried in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Coordinate with FinOps colleagues and internal teams (e.g., Network, Operations, Treasury, IT, the Cash Rec team, and the Refunds team), and liaise with acquirers and banks to investigate, resolve reconciliation items, and collect statements for import into the reconciliation tool.
Raise and post journals to the finance system for any adjustments required following the investigation of reconciling items (e.g., foreign exchange adjustments, reallocation entries, and accruals).
Attend and actively contribute to review meetings by providing accurate updates on your deliverables and raising any questions or issues.
Highlight opportunities to improve process efficiency, reporting effectiveness, or internal controls.
Prepare and/or update detailed process documentation for your assigned accounts.
Support your manager and colleagues with any internal or external audit requests.
Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed, such as reporting or project work.
What you bring to the table:
Experience as a reconciliation analyst, comfortable working on large balance sheet reconciliations using a reconciliation tool.
Strong Excel skills and an understanding of bookkeeping.
Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to completing deliverables.
A collaborative team mindset, with strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to plan changes, and flag any potentially conflicting priorities.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in an international environment, where exposure to foreign currency transactions is an advantage.
Experience with Blackline is an advantage.
$30,000 — $60,000/year
