As a C# Windows Application Developer you will create brand-new Vanessa (back-office) applications, currently being made using WPF.1000+ colleagues will use your applications on a daily basis.

What you will really be doing

• Develop WPF applications software with a slick and intuitive interface.
• Become a part of our journey to develop Windows 10 Universal Applications (Universal Windows Platform), which we can run on the desktop, tablets and on mobile devices.
• Buddy up with the designers and Web API developers.
• Deliver quality work, which is easily maintainable and future-proof.
• Dream and code our applications using the MVVM pattern, since it helps in making our applications loosely coupled.
• Consume the data from our web services developed by your colleagues, so you can focus on creating an intuitive user interface.
• Write testable code that will be continuously tested and deployed by TeamCity and Octopus Deploy, and will have a real effect on live environments.
• Coach and provide feedback to fellow developers.
• Think about technical choices, such as our architecture, tools and processes.

How will you be doing this?

• You will actively participate in your multidisciplinary team’s Scrum process.

• We’ve started work on a new application, using user experience design so innovative, that users can actually control this with a gamepad if we build in support for it. So we did. And in order to optimise user feedback, it’s been available for the stakeholders since the 1st sprint.

Team You will be working in a dedicated and smart team with three to five other developers, each of them with their own specialization and interests. One is up-to-date with the newest developments in the Universal Windows Platform, the other a XAML hero and somebody who knows Git from the inside out. Your team will be complemented by a Scrum Master and a Product Owner. Each of these roomies will challenge you, both technically and in a game of Nerf.
