Shedd Aquarium is looking to add a well-rounded, Junior to Mid-level web developer that has 3-5 years of experience coding in C# and JavaScript frameworks. Experience in coding for iOS or other mobile devices is also highly desirable.

The Shedd technology team utilizes the scrum methodology to deliver a variety of development projects. These include: exhibit technology, website enhancements/maintenance, iPad applications for school groups, and more. Cross-functionality and a willingness to step outside of your preferred language/framework is critical to success in this role.

Description:

This is an exempt-level developer position responsible for developing web interfaces, applications, databases and back end services. The developer works closely with our Director of Application Development to produce specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position. The ideal candidate will show a passion for learning new technology and problem solving using present, emerging, and future tools. Additionally, the ideal candidate will show a strong customer service approach, close attention to detail and strong communication skills.
