C/C++ Programmer for object-storage project.

Atmail seeks a C programmer for a 6-month contract to develop an object-storage plugin for the Dovecot IMAP server. The plugin will be used to store and retrieve messages from an object-storage using the S3 protocol and low-level librados API used by the CEPH storage-engine.

The role includes leading the development to create the plugin while collaborating with the CTO for the plugin architecture and design.

Software Engineers are also responsible for maintaining high quality documentation and implementation of test cases to QA standards.

== Desired Experience

• Previous knowledge of email related protocols ( IMAP, SMTP, MIME )
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a C or C++ developer
• Experience with Unix/Linux/POSIX platforms
• Previous experience with S3 and filesystems
• Sound understanding of software development best practice techniques, as applicable to the C programming language;
