The decarbonisation of heat and transport is an important part of our environmental and economic future. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us build the UK’s decarbonised energy system.

At Evergreen Energy we help our customers to significantly cut their carbon emissions and energy bills. We believe that making our homes more energy efficient is vital to creating a sustainable future, and that smart, renewable heating and power technologies have a big part to play in this journey.

Our energy system is changing, we are decarbonising power generation by increasing renewable capacity while at the same time increasing demand by electrifying our transport and heating. In response energy suppliers have started to offer more dynamic electricity tariffs, where prices change to reflect the availability of renewable energy and demand on the energy system.

Evergreen Energy offers a variety of products and services that mean that customers can benefit from this transition to a greener future:

• Smart Home Services help homeowners to cut their heating bills, reduce carbon emissions and create a cosier home by installing heat pumps via our nationwide installation network. Each installation includes our Homely smart thermostat which is specifically designed for heat pumps and innovative energy tariffs.

• Smart Power is our Virtual Power Plant that can manage large portfolios of EV’s, heat pumps and batteries to optimise the home and help balance both the local network and wider energy system, as the former becomes more constrained through the uptake in EV’s and

heat pumps, and the latter becomes more intermittent as we decarbonise generation.

• Evergreen Apartment is our new fully funded EV charging solution that helps apartment blocks prepare for the future by making every parking bay “EV Ready” whilst also removing the upfront infrastructure investment. When a resident needs it, we provide them with an

EV Charger and then use our smart platform to ensure all the EVs in the block get the charge they need whilst protecting the buildings energy supply and lowering the cost of charging for residents.

What you’ll be doing:

You will help us to exploit the smart energy innovations we have built by:

• Working closely with our commercial, product and marketing teams to develop and execute business development strategies.

• Initially focus on developing a pipeline and converting to contract both retrofit and new build opportunities for our new Evergreen Apartments proposition.

• Develop and deliver new business development and sales channel activities for our other products and services, including our: Homely Smart Thermostat for heat pumps,end-to-end heat pump offering andSmart Power portfolio management for energy suppliers, local energy systems and flexibility services.

• Support the development of new B2B and B2B2C channels, including installers, energy suppliers, network operators and house builders.

• Develop and maintain an awareness of market trends, regulations and emerging competition.

• Prepare commercial proposals and sales contracts for our products and services.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong desire to play a key role in helping to deliver the UKs decarbonisation strategy.

• Is a confident and resilient self-starter who can think ‘out the box’ to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities that closely align to both the customers’ needs and Evergreen Energy’s company mission.

• Has experience in developing and managing a new business pipeline and see this through to contract with B2B &/or B2B2C customers in line with annual targets.

• Is a team player who can collaborate with colleagues and partners to develop innovative propositions and help get them to market in record time.

• Is excited about being part of this once-in-a-lifetime energy transition.
