What You’ll Do:
- Manage financial transactions using Xero and QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Reconcile accounts (bank, credit card, loans, etc.) and prepare accurate financial reports
- Review financial statements to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Support the owner with ad hoc reporting and new client projects
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and help maintain quality standards
- Communicate with clients and team members to address questions and meet deadlines
- Collaborate on improving systems, processes, and client experiences
- Keep tasks in Asana up to date with process & procedure changes
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-7 years of US GAAP bookkeeping/accounting experience across industries
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting
- Critical thinking, organizational skills, and a growth mindset
- Proficiency with cloud-based tools and automation, with a high technology focus
- Strong communication skills and experience managing sensitive information
- Interest in growing into an Accounting Supervisor role to manage multiple clients and provide peer review
- QBO Pro-Advisor or Xero Certified a plus but not required
- Fluency in English
- Extreme attention to detail and obsessive about accuracy
