At Blue Bottle, our mission is to bring people together through outstanding coffee. From the farm to the finished cup, we aim to refine and elevate the craft at every step. We’re committed to shaping a better future by investing in what matters most: creating a sustainable path for our team, our business, and the planet.

About the Job
We’re looking for passionate coffee enthusiasts and skilled customer service professionals to join our new Kiosk opening at the Roseville Galleria in March.

Our move into instant coffee came from the belief that exceptional coffee should be accessible to everyone. With a product we trust and love, we’ve removed many traditional barriers—large spaces, heavy equipment, and complicated brewing techniques. Still, the core elements remain the same across our Cafes and instant kiosks: meticulous attention to making great coffee and offering warm, thoughtful service.

At Blue Bottle, a Barista is someone who cares deeply about coffee, food, sustainability, and creating meaningful guest experiences rooted in respect and hospitality. We welcome you to grow with us and help foster community through coffee.

You will
• Support your team by taking pride in the tasks that keep the cafe or kiosk running smoothly, such as cleaning, dishwashing, sweeping, dusting, mopping, organizing condiment stations, and taking out trash
• Build community by sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge of coffee with guests and encouraging your teammates to do the same
• Deliver excellent hospitality to guests, teammates, vendors, and suppliers
• Prepare and serve a wide range of delicious beverages using various brewing methods
• Prepare and serve tasty food items
• Stay informed about Blue Bottle’s food and beverage offerings and preparation methods, continually expanding your knowledge through tastings and training
• Regularly taste Blue Bottle beverages to uphold quality standards and refine your palate
• Support company-wide sustainability initiatives
• Follow all health, food safety, and general safety guidelines
• Help maintain a safe, respectful work environment

You are
• Interested in building a career in food and beverage with a vibrant, growing company
• Passionate about coffee, food, and creating warm, inclusive experiences
• Dependable and punctual, consistently ready to do your best
• Attentive and able to anticipate guests’ needs
• Detail-oriented, committed to improving your craft, and aware of the impact a great cup of coffee or plate of food can have
• Excited to embrace new challenges with a positive attitude
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

You have
• Basic math and computer skills
• A flexible schedule with availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

A few benefits we offer
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for eligible employees starting on day one
• Industry-leading coffee training and continuous education
• Free Specialty Coffee Association membership and discounted event access
• 401(k) plan
• Paid time off and paid volunteer time
• 50% discount on all in-store and online products
• Two free drinks per shift for kiosk team members
• Flexible spending and commuter benefits
• Employee Assistance Program

Compensation
• Starting at $20.00 per hour plus tips, which average about $5.00–$9.00 per hour

Physical expectations for this role
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, whether behind the bar or throughout the kiosk
• Use of hands for precise tasks, including operating equipment and registers
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, and reach for items stored above or below
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, or move up to 50 pounds, including bags of beans, milk crates, dish tubs, or trash bins
• Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs, ramps, or uneven surfaces
• Ability to taste and smell coffee and food for quality checks
• Ability to speak and listen clearly to communicate with guests and teammates
