Tether helps businesses—such as exchanges, wallets, payment processors, financial services, and ATMs—use reserve-backed tokens on blockchains with ease. With blockchain technology, Tether enables you to store, send, and receive digital tokens worldwide, person-to-person, instantly and securely, at a much lower cost than alternative solutions. Transparency is a core priority throughout Tether’s platform.

Because each token is linked to real-world currency, Tether helps shield users from the volatility common to many cryptocurrencies. Tether is backed by real assets, including USD and euros. One Tether equals one unit of the currency that backs it (for example, one U.S. dollar), and it is backed 100% by actual assets held in Tether’s reserve account.

Our team is fully remote and globally distributed, allowing us to attract top talent worldwide. We’ve grown quickly while remaining lean to strengthen our position as an industry leader.

If you’re excited to work in a boundary-pushing environment and you’re confident you can meet the hardest challenges, we’d like to hear from you. Join us and help build the foundation for a decentralized future.

We are currently seeking a KYC Analyst.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and analytical support to the Compliance Team. You will help ensure KYC reviews are properly prioritized and completed on time, and that all required information is added to each case file according to documented procedures. You will review KYC documentation, assess applicants’ risk profiles, and communicate professionally with clients to collect KYC information. The role also involves supporting internal projects connected to regulatory readiness and examinations, operational development, training, and research.

Over time, the successful candidate is expected to deepen their AML expertise and be cross-trained in investigative and analytical skills to support investigations using blockchain analytical tools.

The candidate will build and maintain strong professional relationships and networks with industry peers to learn and share best practices, as well as investigative and analytical approaches.

In performing the role, the candidate will continuously develop their skills, including knowledge of blockchain technology, virtual currencies, suspicious activity in the space, criminals’ methods, and best investigative practices. This will help reduce the risk of money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions violations on behalf of Tether, while supporting the company’s strong regulatory compliance.

Requirements

In addition to the preferred skills below, the candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision (seeking guidance when needed), be flexible with work arrangements and hours, and be confident making decisions delegated by the Compliance Manager / CCO.
