BPM is currently recruiting for a Controller position for a Confidential Ranch Company. This role will lead the on-site accounting team in Bozeman, MT. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, loves building efficient systems, and enjoys being a key player in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with VP of Finance to ensure a timely monthly close process.
- Maintain up-to-date event codes in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
- Complete other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
- Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency
- Support in overseeing the activities of the ranch corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of monthly internal financial statements
- Participate in a variety of special ranch accounting or reporting projects and compile a variety of special reports
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- 8 years of relevant experience with 5 years of management experience is preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments.
- Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal oversight.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional projects as needed.

$120,000 – $130,000 a year
