We are seeking a seasoned Backup Administrator to join our global backup operations team. This role involves monitoring, managing, and enhancing backup services and technologies used across multiple regions.

Our backup landscape includes:
Technologies: Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity, Rubrik, and others
Platforms: On‑premise Linux/Windows systems, bare‑metal servers, VMware, and other virtual environments

Role Overview
• As a backup administrator, you will oversee backup operations, drive continuous service improvements, and coordinate with vendors. Your goal is to maintain a highly available, secure, reliable, and efficient backup infrastructure for internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data protection services, including backup and recovery, solution design, implementation, and migrations.
• Maintain and fine‑tune backup systems to meet performance, availability, and compliance standards.
• Install, configure, and upgrade backup hardware and software.
• Work extensively with Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, and similar tools.
• Manage and troubleshoot backups for applications such as Oracle, MS‑SQL, MySQL, MS‑Exchange, VMware, NDMP, and others.
• Use scripting to automate routine backup and recovery activities.
• Develop automated backup and recovery solutions using scripts or third‑party tools.
• Operate within ITIL/ITSM frameworks, covering incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and maintain documentation for backup and recovery processes.

Preferred Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Commvault, Rubrik, and Cohesity.
• Storage technology certifications (preferably two or more among Commvault, Cohesity, and Rubrik).
• Experience in ITIL‑driven operational environments.

Desirable Skills
• Experience in ITIL service design.
• Ability to develop and manage solution roadmaps.
• Involvement in defining backup and recovery procedures and supporting audit activities.
