We are looking for an experienced Backup Administrator to join our global backup operations team. The position involves monitoring, managing, and improving backup services and technologies used across various regions.

Our backup environment includes:
Technologies: Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity, Rubrik, and others
Platforms: On‑premise Linux/Windows systems, bare metal servers, VMware, and other virtual infrastructures

Role Overview
• As the backup administrator, you will handle backup operations, continuous service improvement, and vendor coordination. Your objective is to ensure a highly available, secure, reliable, and efficient backup environment for internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full lifecycle of data protection services, including backup and recovery, solution design, implementation, and migrations.
• Maintain and optimize backup environments to meet performance, availability, and compliance requirements.
• Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of backup hardware and software.
• Work extensively with Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, and similar solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot backups for applications such as Oracle, MS‑SQL, MySQL, MS‑Exchange, VMware, NDMP, and others.
• Use scripting to automate regular backup and recovery tasks.
• Build automated backup and recovery solutions using scripts or third‑party tools.
• Operate in accordance with ITIL/ITSM practices, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
• Ensure compliance with audit standards and maintain documentation for backup and recovery procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Commvault, Rubrik, and Cohesity.
• Certifications in storage technologies (preferably at least two among Commvault, Cohesity, and Rubrik).
• Experience working in ITIL‑based operational environments.

Desirable Skills
• Experience in ITIL service design.
• Ability to create and manage solution roadmaps.
• Participation in defining backup and recovery processes and supporting audit activities.
